Learning Goals

As I begin my baccalaureate education at LLUSN, I have set several professional learning goals to help me grow both academically and in my nursing practice. One of my key goals is to develop my ability to write scholarly papers. By the time I complete this program, I aim to enhance my research and writing skills to effectively communicate complex ideas, analyze data, and contribute to evidence-based nursing practices.

Another important goal is to strengthen my ability to integrate research into my clinical practice. I want to be able to critically evaluate nursing research and apply the latest findings to improve patient outcomes and ensure that my practice is grounded in current evidence. By honing these skills, I will be better equipped to pursue further education, whether through graduate studies or advanced clinical training, ensuring that I can make informed and research-based decisions throughout my nursing career.

Upon completion of my baccalaureate education, I am confident that I will have gained the mental discipline and scholarly abilities to not only write more effective academic papers but also use research to continuously refine and enhance my nursing practice. These skills will prepare me for future challenges and opportunities in both academic and clinical settings.

The Link

Key accomplishments, strengths, and weaknesses.

Throughout my nursing career, I have had the privilege of starting in a cardiac progressive care unit and advancing to a cardiac cath lab. This journey allowed me to travel across the country, meet diverse individuals, and learn from every experience along the way. My strengths lie in my adaptability and my ability to quickly grasp new concepts and protocols. However, I recognize that my weakness has been maintaining a comprehensive record of my accomplishments and the classes I have taken.

Vision Statement

My vision is to advance into a leadership role within nursing, where I can use my skills and knowledge to shape policies that improve healthcare delivery and community health outcomes. By focusing on compassionate care and fostering collaboration across healthcare teams, I aim to drive meaningful change in both practice and policy.

Growth Focus

I want to enhance my ability to research new techniques an integrate the latest evidence into practice. This could involve becoming more proficient in reviewing scientific literature, staying updated with the latest advancements, and translating research findings into clinical practice.

My Future

I see myself at the end of my baccalaureate education being more prepared to further my education. I see myself having the tools and confidence I need to be able to continue my schooling, be it an APRN degree or management.
